Inheriting a property in Selva
When a property in Selva is inherited, the heirs must accept the inheritance before a notary, pay Inheritance and Gift Tax, generally within six months of the death, and register the property in their name. Where the deceased was a foreign national, the EU Succession Regulation (650/2012) determines which country’s law applies to the estate.
